Wisdom in everyday life

Cult loyalty

What a world we live in. After all these years and millennia, humans have not taken the idea of evolving seriously at all. It’s a free for all, this place. Filled with take what you want stepping over whom ever you need to, want more land take that too. We are a waring culture, a world of takers. Scenes of blown up buildings and strong worded messages flying around and why? It is all about money and power, dude wants the land of his country to be bigger and the people he hurts while doing it are also the ones chanting his name.

I saw a news report where they interview the people of Russia and they had strong words about their leaders ability to fight against the threat pressing upon them. Such loyal citizens! They believe the man, their cult leader. The one who lives a modest life in front of “his people” while living the life of a king in his many mansions. Cult leaders are all the same.

I watched that teacher I used to pay attention to, you know the one who was so special and spiritual and secretive and loved money, need I go on. It was with another little girl trying to make it big, who wanted him on her IG live, Oh my God you have arrived. Of course the minute her feed was disturbed her true self was on camera, just for a minute…It is apparent to me that no matter what is said about someone the ones looking for fame are all trying to be next you each other in order to show loyalty to the “leader” that’s going to take them there. And where is fame anyway? Is it on spiritual island, the one where all the newly enlightened live together in peace and harmony.

It’s embarrassing now when I think on how excited I was to hear from the teacher. Not that I guess it’s a bad thing, we all want to be seen, and to be seen as somebody, but we keep idolizing the wrong kind of guys. These cult leaders who in their pretty dressed up words end up with their hands in your pockets and maybe down your pants and watch out for the tongue forced down your throat. Does it mean that nobody is really interested in truth? I’m not sure that humanity needed community so bad that cults became the answer to “where is the truth?”.

Join our religion truth lives here, No join ours truth lives here. The people of every country have beliefs given through time and tradition and it does seem like joiners do better than humans who solo or listen to their own drum. But the still voice inside of us must have been dampened down to nothing for people to give up their humanity to follow cults and cult leaders actively knowing they are causing harm.

My favorite story of Guru Nanak and I hope it was Guru Nanak, who was said to be a great and wise yogi, when realizing yogis were heading for caves, “to reach enlightenment and be close to the Gods”, yelled for them to come out of the caves because the world was on fire. Their job was to help humanity not take advantage of them and hide. The spiritual leaders were to be real leaders down in the trenches of life not living in a mansion far far away from the people who’s shoulders they stand on.

Without the instruction that we are our brothers keeper, this world will look just as it does and will never grow beyond the juvenile obsession with the small self! We do not need cults or cult leaders, we need people thinking…and Mother of God…Doing the right thing!!!!!!!!
